Dr. Abelowitz has been our pediatrician since our child was born, and we can’t recommend Ocean Pediatrics enough. We first met him during pregnancy, and after delivery ran into him during rounds at HOAG, he remembered us and took the time to check in, even though we didn’t have an appointment. That kind of attentiveness set the tone for the care we’ve received ever since. Over the years, Dr. Abelowitz has guided us through big and small moments with expertise, respect, and a true commitment to our child’s well-being. Even when our parenting style differs (which has been nearly never) he listens, offers options, and always puts our child first. We’ve also had the pleasure of seeing Michelle, RN (a superstar!) and receiving excellent care at both the Back Bay and Ladera offices. A year ago, we had an emergency that brought us to CHOC, and Dr. Abelowitz’s team was incredibly responsive, checking in, sharing helpful info, and making sure we had what we needed. From the doctors to the nurses, schedulers, and billing team, Ocean Pediatrics is consistently compassionate, responsive, and professional. For new parents looking for a practice that truly partners with families, Ocean is exceptional.

I had a lovely experience with Dr.Orosco at Ocean Pediatrics. She was extremely attentive to my baby and treated me with kindness and respect as well.

I left Coastal Kids with my 6 children after an unfortunate incident regarding the HPV vaccine and my 11-year-old. Ocean Pediatrics was recommended to me by a friend as being more parental informed consent friendly. Bottom line: trying to bully parents into vaccinating isn’t a good look. Education and respect go a lot further. I will update my review as I get to know Ocean Pediatrics and their staff more. So far, everyone has been friendly, kind, and respectful.

Dr. Abelowitz is an exceptional Doctor. Our entire family absolutely adores him and his entire team. He is exceptional with infants, children of all ages, and teenagers. Our children have loved him and look forward to seeing him at every stage in their development. Truly a wonderful man, person, and Physician.

Dr. Orosco and Dr. Dylan are profesional, kind, patient, knowledgeable, empathetic, and just top notch!!! Clarissa in the front office is incredibly helpful. Overall amazing staff.

being a first time parent can be scary, but having ocean pediatrics caring for my child is so reassuring. If you are choosing a pediatrician, I 100% recommend Dr. Abelowitz! This office is top notch.

As a pediatrician myself, I know what good care looks like, and Dr. Abelowitz is the best of the best. He listens, thinks carefully, and works with you to come up with the best possible plan to optimize your children’s health. He has a wealth of knowledge and experience and goes the extra mile for each patient. My kids have been seeing Dr. Abelowitz since birth, and he’s gotten us through some scary moments. There was a time when a tumor was a real possibility, and he and his team made calls and got us expedited appointments and imaging. I think he does for each patient what he would do for his own kids. I know my kids are in good hands.

Ocean Pediatrics has been an amazing experience for our family. From the moment we walked in, the office felt clean, calm, and very welcoming. The staff is kind, patient, and truly attentive, which makes such a difference—especially with newborns and first-time parents. Dr. Jennifer is absolutely wonderful. She is knowledgeable, gentle, and takes the time to listen and explain everything clearly without ever rushing the visit. She made us feel comfortable and confident, answering all our questions with care and professionalism.

I hardly ever write reviews, but Dr. Dylan is one of the kindest, warmest, and most thorough doctors I’ve ever met. She is so warm and caring with my baby which warms my heart, and is so patient and thorough with us as first time parents to go over any questions we have. She is down to earth, professional, and overall an incredible doctor. I can’t recommend her enough!

I cannot express how grateful I am for Dr. Abelowitz and Dr. Dylan! From the very moment our son was born—when they came to the hospital to meet him, assess him, and ensure he was healthy—they have been nothing short of exceptional. Knowing our son is in their care gives us complete peace of mind. The entire staff is incredibly warm and welcoming, and the office is always clean, organized, and inviting. I especially appreciate that they have separate entrances and sides of the lobby for healthy and sick patients—it truly shows how thoughtful and thorough they are. It’s no surprise that even my son’s father, who is not a fan of doctor’s offices, feels comfortable and genuinely impressed during every visit. Thank you so much for helping us navigate first-time parenthood with far less fear and stress. We are beyond grateful and truly look forward to many, many years ahead with you as such an important part of our son’s life!
